I didn't
It was supposed to be a hobby.
I learned to dive in Australia, then moved to Cairns and spent four years diving the Great Barrier Reef.
I kept returning to the same places. Until one day, I went back to a wall I had photographed years earlier. It was bleached, silent and empty.
I couldn't unsee it. What began as exploration became a responsibility.
I came home not to leave the ocean behind, but to build something that could help protect the places I had fallen in love with.
It cannot speak for itself.
No shareholders. No quarterly earnings. No seat at the table where its future is decided. That is part of why I photograph it. So it has, at least, a witness. So I built Ocean Evoke.

I lead financial strategy, build lending systems, and run a conservation social enterprise, guided by ownership, compounding value, and intentional capital.

Technology that powers financial institutions. Managing Director. Acquisition, underwriting, disbursement and servicing built as a single connected system with licensed NBFC partners. India does not have a lending problem. It has a fragmentation problem.
E2E from first application to final repayment A customer currently gets handed between four companies that do not share a view of them, and everyone pays for the gaps. One connected operating layer removes the handoffs — and changes the economics of credit from the first application onward.
India's first ocean conservation social enterprise, and where the descent turns upward. Guilt has never protected a reef. People protect what they have fallen in love with — and they fall in love first, then take responsibility, in that order, every time. I couldn't find a brand that spoke about the ocean without making people feel guilty, so I built one on the opposite premise. It commits 1% of its revenue to marine conservation. Revenue, not profit — the contribution holds whether or not anything is left over. The work is done with Coastal Impact in Goa, Kuddle Life Foundation in Pondicherry, and the Rotary Club of Calcutta South City in Kolkata.

The personal one. How a rebellious and fairly uncertain young man became a diver, an operator, and someone who could not look away.
It goes underneath the surface of what success is supposed to look like — the failures, the identity shifts, and the moment the ocean rearranged what I thought I was doing with my life.
Sometimes you have to lose yourself completely to find who you were meant to become.
Part 2 —
The argument. Our relationship with the natural world, and especially with the ocean, is broken — and repairing it is a question of how we live daily rather than how we feel occasionally.
Not awareness. Change. Sustainability as a moral position and a practical one, not a trend to be seen adopting.
